KEVIN P. HARRINGTON, graduated from Niagara University in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Political Science. While a student at Niagara, he was named to Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities. Thereafter, he obtained his Juris Doctor from New England Law in Boston, Massachusetts in June, 1978. Following graduation from law school, Mr. Harrington served a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Thomas R. Rumana, Judge of the Superior Court, Law Division, Passaic County. He was then appointed as a Special Deputy Attorney General and served as an Assistant Prosecutor for Passaic County from 1979 through 1980. Mr. Harrington then became associated with the firm of DeYoe & Guiney where he was primarily involved in the trial of negligence defense cases until April, 1987. He was then co-founder of the firm of Catania and Harrington where he continued an active negligence defense practice until January 1, 2000 when he formed Harrington and Lombardi, LLP. Mr. Harrington was certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey in February, 1986, as a Civil Trial Attorney and in 1992 was named to Who's Who Among Rising Young Americans in American Society and Business.   Mr. Harrington was named to Who's Who in American Law, as well as, Strathmore's Who's Who in the 2000 - 2001 edition. He is a past President of the Passaic County Bar Association. Mr. Harrington is a member of the New Jersey and Passaic County Bar Associations, New Jersey Defense Association, International Association of Defense Counsel, The Defense Research Institute and Trial Attorneys of New Jersey. Mr. Harrington has been admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey, Federal District Court for the District of New Jersey and Supreme Court of the United States.
 
Mr. Harrington is a Master of the Robert L. Clifford American Inn of Court where he has lectured extensively on all aspects of litigation. Additionally, Mr. Harrington is an instructor for the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education where he participates in various seminars on civil litigation and teaches an annual course on Civil Trial Preparation.
 
Another notable achievement is that Mr. Harrington has been named one of New Jersey's Super Lawyers in the years 2005 through 2015. This designation was by New Jersey Monthly and Law & Politics Magazines and the selection procedure includes peer nominations, a blue ribbon panel review process and independent research on candidates. This designation is restricted to five percent of New Jersey attorneys on a yearly basis. Mr. Harrington was named as a Super Lawyer in the area of insurance defense personal injury and was one of twenty-one attorneys out of more than sixty thousand attorneys in New Jersey so named in this area of law. Mr. Harrington has also recently received a BV rating from Lexus/Nexus Martindale Hubbell, which is the highest rating a lawyer can achieve after admission to the Bar for five to nine years, indicating very high legal ability and ethical standards. 
 
In 2013, Mr. Harrington received the New Jersey State Bar Association a Professionalism Award, which commemorates practioners for their exemplary charater, competence, and professionalism.  In 2015, Mr. Harrington received the Passaic County Distinguished Practioner Award, for his efforts in advancing the goals of the legal profession.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
NICHOLAS J. LOMBARDI, graduated from Muhlenberg College with a Bachelor of Arts and a Special Interdisciplinary Degree in History and Government in 1984. Thereafter, he obtained his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1987 where he finished in the top third of his class. Following his graduation, Mr. Lombardi served a judicial clerkship for the Honorable Edward F. Neagle, Judge of the Superior Court, Law Division, Essex County. Following his clerkship, he became an associate of Bumgardner, Hardin and Ellis, a negligence defense firm in Springfield, New Jersey. While there, Mr. Lombardi was an active litigator representing clients including Chrysler, Volvo, Toys "R" Us, Pepsi and numerous insurance carriers. He handled declaratory judgment actions and had the opportunity to try many negligence cases to jury verdict achieving remarkable results. Thereafter, Mr. Lombardi became an associate of Catania and Harrington, a negligence defense firm in North Haledon, New Jersey. Mr. Lombardi continued to be an active litigator representing clients including Terminix, Tru-Green, Wakefern Supermarkets and numerous insurance carriers. Mr. Lombardi continued to have the opportunity to try numerous negligence cases to jury verdict and continued to achieve remarkable results. Mr. Lombardi is a member of the New Jersey and Passaic County Bar Associations as well as the Defense Research Institute and the New Jersey Defense Association. Mr. Lombardi also practices in the area of Elder Law and is a member of the Elder Law Subcommittee of the New Jersey and Passaic County Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice in the States of New Jersey and New York and is also admitted in United States District Court for New Jersey, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
 
Mr. Lombardi has been a Partner in the Law Firm of Harrington and Lombardi, LLP since its formation on January 1, 2000. During this time he has continued to handle and have the opportunity to try numerous negligence cases to jury verdict and has continued to achieve remarkable results. His clients have included Penn America Insurance Company, United National Insurance Company, Travelers Insurance Company, Lincoln General Insurance Company, MetLife Auto & Home and Metropolitan Property and Casualty Insurance Company, among others. Mr. Lombardi also specializes in insurance coverage matters and has been successful in pursuing the interests of his clients on insurance coverage issues before both the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey, as well as the Supreme Court of New Jersey. 
 
 
 
 
 
MATTHEW V. MARKOSIAN, graduated from Lafayette College with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2001 and was a staff member of the campus newspaper. Thereafter, he obtained his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2006, where he maintained a 3.2 GPA. While a law student, Mr. Markosian interned for South Jersey Regional Legal Services, National Labor Relations Board, Hudson County Public Defenders Office and participated in the Housing and Homeless Clinic at the Seton Hall Center for Social Justice. Mr. Markosian was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 2006 and has served as the Young Lawyer Representative for the Passaic County Bar Association. Mr. Markosian presently serves as a Trustee of that Association and is a member of the Civil Bench and Bar Liaison Committee, which meets regularly with the Civil Presiding Judge and Assignment Judge of Passaic County. Mr. Markosian joined Harrington and Lombardi, LLP, December, 2006 and is active in defense negligence litigation.
 
THOMAS R. RUMANA, graduated from Rutgers University in 1947 following service in the United States Army where he served in the European campaigns during World War II. Thereafter he obtained his Juris Doctor from Dickinson School of Law in 1949 and was admitted to practice in New Jersey in 1950. Thomas Rumana was engaged in the general practice of law from 1950 through 1972 in Paterson, New Jersey where he also served as Deputy Treasurer for the City of Paterson and Vice President of the Board of Library Trustees. He was also elected and served as Council President of the Township of Wayne from 1970 through 1972. In 1972 he was appointed to the bench and served with great distinction as a Judge of the Superior Court, Law Division, Passaic County for eighteen years retiring on January 31, 1991. Judge Rumana was assigned to the Law Division, Civil, and also handled the medical malpractice case list from 1980 until his retirement. Upon his retirement from the bench, he became counsel to the firm of Catania and Harrington and now serves as Of Counsel to Harrington and Lombardi, LLP. Judge Rumana is a member of the Passaic County and New Jersey Bar Associations, the Retired Judge's Association and Dickinson School of Law Alumni Association. He has been admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey, Federal District Court for the District of New Jersey and the Supreme Court of the United States. Judge Rumana is now primarily involved as a Court appointed Mediator and Arbitrator.
